HOUSTON (ICIS)--Oxea is seeking off-list price increases for a number of its products in Europe, effective 1 July, the company announced on Friday. This includes €30/tonne price increases on oxo-alcohols n-butanol (NBA), isobutanol (IBA) and 2-ethylhexanol (2-EH).
Along with the increases in oxo-alcohol products, Oxea announced a €50/tonne increase on n-butyl acetate, isobutyl acetate and n-propanol and a €40/tonne increase on n-propyl acetate.
Oxea produces these chemicals at facilities in Marl and Oberhausen in Germany. Production capacities include 130,000 tonnes/year of NBA, 10,000 tonnes/year of IBA and 300,000 tonnes/year of 2-EH at Oberhausen and 100,000 tonnes/year of n-butyl acetate at Marl.
Oxea announced 3 cent/lb ($66/tonne) increases on NBA, IBA, 2-EH and n-butyl and isobutyl acetates in US, Canada and Mexico and $66/tonne increases for South and Central America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East on 12 June.
