LONDON (ICIS)--European exports of clean petroleum products (CPP) to West Africa slowed down last week, shipping sources said on Monday.

Shipping fixtures booked last week reveal European exports to West Africa stood relatively low at 74,000 tonnes.

CPP could refer to gasoline, naphtha, jet fuel, gasoil or ultra low-sulphur diesel (ULSD).

However, UK continental shelf (UKC) and ARA (Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp) exports to the US East Coast/USG (US Gulf) and to West Africa are mostly gasoline, industry sources maintain.

Demand for naphtha as a blendstock has declined on the back of the falling gasoline exports to the West African market.
