HOUSTON (ICIS)--Formosa Plastics shut down a linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) reactor at its Point Comfort plant in Texas, according to a filing made available on Friday.
A line had separated, causing Formosa to shut down the reactor, according to a filing it made with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
Formosa did not say if it restarted the reactor or when such a restart could happen.
The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Point Comfort has an LLDPE capacity of 365,000 tonne/year, according to ICIS plants and projects.
