SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Shandong Lianmeng Chemical Group is planning to bring on stream a 250,000 tonne/year coal-based methanol plant at Shandong in east China at the end of September, a company source said on Tuesday.
The company is scheduled to achieve on-spec production at the plant at the same time, the source added.
The company started building the plant at the beginning of 2013, the source said.
Shandong Lianmeng Chemical Group’s total methanol capacity is expected to reach 750,000 tonnes/year after starting up the plant, the source added.
The company operates a 500,000 tonne/year coal-based methanol plant at the same site.
