HOUSTON (ICIS)--The Canadian Fertilizer Institute (CFI) announced on Tuesday that its president, Roger Larson, will be retiring from the organization on 20 September.
Larson has served as president for 16 years for the CFI, which represent the fertilizer industry in Canada including manufacturers, wholesalers and retail distributors of nitrogen, phosphate and potash fertilizer products.
“The time has come for new leadership and after 16 years as president, I can say that I am very proud of what we have accomplished together,” said Larson. “I have worked hard to build an excellent organization and I am proud of our team’s accomplishments.”
CFI officials said Larson has been instrumental in advancing the cause of the industry and will be remember for raising the profile of the fertilizer industry and its members during his tenure. The institute said it plans to appoint a new president soon.
