HOUSTON (ICIS)--Prices for US recycled polyethylene terephthalate (R-PET) pellets on the west coast inched up 1 cent on Thursday, as sources indicated that demand for material remained strong.
West coast pellet prices increased to 76-81 cents/lb ($1,675-1,786/tonne). Pellet prices on the east coast remained unchanged.
It was heard that pellet prices in the west coast had seen slight increases in demand, with buyers indicating that they were buying at an average of 80-81 cent/lb.
The pellet market on the west coast has seen a steady increase over the last month. Prices increased by 6 cents in mid-July.
