Russia to reduce petrochemical, crude oil export duties

MOSCOW (ICIS)–The Russian government announced on Tuesday that export duties on petrochemical products and crude oil would go down next month.

From 1 October 2014, the duty on benzene, xylenes and toluene is set at $227.70/tonne, down from $242.60/tonne in September, said the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.

Next month, Russia’s export duty imposed on gasoline and naphtha will be $310.20/tonne, down from $330.80/tonne in September.

Russia reviews its export duties on petrochemical products on a monthly basis in accordance with changes in the crude oil export duty. From 1 October, Russia’s export duty on crude oil will be $344.70/tonne, down from $367.60/tonne in September.

Meanwhile, Russia’s export duty on liquefied hydrocarbon gases will be $145.00/tonne in October, down from $221.00/tonne in September.
