SINGAPORE (ICIS)–Saudi Arabia’s Advanced Petrochemical Co will start receiving increased supply of propylene (C3) from Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemicals (Satorp) beginning 1 October this year.

Its propylene supply from Satorp has increased by 30,000 tonnes/year to 80,000 tonnes/year based on a deal signed between the two companies on 1 August 2013.

“The effective supply will be starting from 1 October 2014,” Advanced said in a statement filed to the Saudi bourse, Tadawul, late on Monday.

“This supply will provide additional propylene which will contribute to increase in the production of polypropylene (PP) by the same amount,” it said.

Satorp is a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and French energy major Total.
