US Axiall to sell Texas phosgene plant to ALTIVIA

HOUSTON
(ICIS)–US vinyls producer Axiall announced on
Thursday that it will sell its Texas phosgene and derivatives
plant to ALTIVIA.
The products from the La Porte plant are used by the polymer, agricultural and pharmaceutical industries.
The transaction should close within 45 days, Axiall said, though it did not release the financial terms of the deal. ALTIVIA reported it will hire 120 new employees to operate the plant.
ALTIVIA is a chemical manufacturer
and distributor in the municipal and industrial water
treatment sector.
