Europe PP spot soars above

April
Polypropylene (PP) spot
prices in Europe have reached levels well above those in
contracts in April in many cases, sources said on
Friday.
Europe PE buyers watch for arbitrage
openings in tight
market
Polyethylene (PE) buyers
are watching the market closely for the possibility of
arbitrage opportunities to relieve the tight supply in Europe
at present, sources said on Thursday, but little relief is
expected in April.
Shell agrees $70bn deal for UK gas
producer BG Group
Anglo-Dutch
energy major Shell on Wednesday said that it has agreed to
fully acquire UK-based oil and gas exploration firm BG Group
in a cash and share deal worth £47bn ($70.1bn).
Eurozone chemical price decline
continues, down 1.2% in Feb:
Eurostat
Chemical producer
prices continued a downward trend in the eurozone in February
with a fall of 1.2% month on month, while prices in the EU
fell by 1.1%, on the back of lower crude oil values, European
statistics agency Eurostat said on Tuesday.
