Asia naphtha may gain on lower deep-sea supply, output
cuts
Asia’s naphtha prices may strengthen amid a
reduction in deep-sea supply, as well as prospects of lower
regional production in response to weakening refinery
margins, traders said on Monday.
Malaysia CPO futures slip on delay of B10 mandate,
export tax hike
Malaysia’s crude palm oil (CPO) futures remained on a
downtrend this week following a delay in the implementation
of a higher biodiesel blend on petrol in the country, and a
hike in export tax for the material.
Asia SBR may rebound as NR, BD head north
Spot prices of styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) in Asia may
soon rebound, pulled by market gains in rival product natural
rubber (NR) and feedstock butadiene (BD), industry sources
said on Wednesday.
India PP may strengthen in July on tight
supply
Spot polypropylene (PP) prices in India may
strengthen next month amid a lack of availability of imported
and domestic cargoes, market sources said on Friday.
Crude futures, Asia petchem shares crash as UK votes to
leave EU
Global crude oil benchmarks slumped by more than $3/bbl,
while shares of major petrochemical firms in Asia crashed on
Friday, as the UK voted out of the EU, termed as “Brexit”,
after a nationwide referendum.
