Brazil passenger car sales record another fall in August

LONDON (ICIS)–Brazil’s passenger car sales continued moving downwards in August, falling by 14.3% year on year, according to latest data from Associacao Nacional dos Fabricantes de Veiculos Automotores (ANFAVEA).
Passenger car sales in January to August 2016 fell by 23.4% year on year.
At the end of August, Brazil’s senate voted to impeach Dilma Rousseff, Brazil’s first ever female president, with a vote of 61 to 20. Rousseff’s vice president, Michel Temer, will replace her and continue as president for the remainder of her term.
