BUDAPEST (ICIS)–Improving diversity within the
chemical industry workforce is vital to improve the effective
management of chemical companies, according to a Shell
Chemicals executive.
Gender, cultural and racial diversity brings different
perspectives and a wealth of talent to management teams,
according to Kate Johnson, Shell Chemicals general manager,
global styrene, propylene oxide (PO) and derivatives.
Johnson was speaking on the sidelines of the 50th European
Petrochemical Association meeting. A diversity and inclusion
workshop takes place at the meeting on Monday 3 October at
18:00 local time.
