Mexico Nov auto production rises 7.4%

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (ICIS)–Mexican domestic automobile production in November reached 318,149 vehicle units, an increase of 7.4% over last year, the Mexican Automakers Association (AMIA) and Mexican Auto Distributors Association (AMDA) said on Wednesday.

Exports in November were also higher, up by 9.6% year on year at 245,330 units, the associations said.

Production since the beginning of the year through November was at 3,223,120 units, up by 1.5% from last year’s production of 3,176,135 units, AMIA said.

Sales to the public were sharply higher, jumping 22.5% in November to 154,616 units, AMIA said.
