Jon Warnke will lead the training. He has over 36 years experience in the international chemical industry, including petrochemicals, fine and specialty chemicals and industrial gases. He has a broad commercial background with specific experience in sales and business management, strategic marketing and planning, and global consulting. In 2008 he set up Jon Warnke Consulting to provide management consulting services to the global chemical industry.
His career has included sales and marketing, product management, strategic planning and consulting positions at Shell, Nexant ChemSystems and BOC (now Linde). At BOC he was Strategic Marketing Director, Petrochemicals, and responsible for providing the strategic context and customer insight for new industrial gas opportunities, especially in China and SE Asia, and was responsible for global key and major customer programmes, chemical cluster and new geographic market entry strategies.
His consulting experience includes a wide variety of projects covering polymers, petrochemicals, specialty chemicals and industrial gases, working with clients in Europe, United States, Canada, Middle East, Latin America, India and China.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) and Chartered Chemist (CChem) and holds a BSc. Hons. in Chemistry from the University of Birmingham, and DPhil from the University of Oxford.
