On 9 April 2009, BASF acquired Ciba.

 

In 2007, BASF made a series of acquisitions to build on growth and it will continue to do this in 2008 and beyond. It will also focus on market-driven innovations, new business models and technology areas of the future.

 

BASF has headquarters in Ludwigshafen, Germany, employs around 97,000 people and in 2008 had sales of Euro62bn.
