The blog was interviewed on CNBC Africa’s ‘Beyond Markets’ programme last week, during its visit to AECI in Johannesburg. Hosted by Karema Brown, the programme focuses on the news that drives markets across the continent.

The 3 minute interview discussed the new business models that are now essential to drive future growth in Africa and around the world. It describes the opportunities available for growth from developing new products and services to supply the needs of the:

• 300 million Africans who have entered the market in recent years, and now have spending money for the first time
• 300 million Western BabyBoomers aged 55+ years, who would mostly have been dead even 50 years ago, but who can now expect another decade or more of life due to improved healthcare and lifestyles
