Response Summary

Epichlorohydrin Methodology Consultation – Summary of responses

Following the announcement that ICIS would be launching a formal methodology consultation process, we have received three formal responses to consultation GMC 20/17, one public and two private. To read the public response, please click on the link below.

ICIS received in total three responses to the Epichlorohydrin Methodology Consultation 2017.

ICIS Decision

The public response requested that the report should not be changed.

The first private response asked ICIS to add a new assessment like FOB Northeast Asia, or DDP Korea or DDP Japan.

The second private response asked ICIS to add a CFR Korea assessment.

ICIS has been reviewing another request to remove the China CFR assessment, but has found that market players are keen to retain this assessment.

There was no support for adding a Korean assessment, and a lack of sources willing to supply regular price information on Korean prices.

ICIS will not be proposing any immediate changes to the methodology of the Epichlorohydrin report. Any decision to change this methodology will be communicated to subscribers using the usual channels and with the usual notice period.

ICIS continues to welcome any feedback on its Epichlorohydrin methodology outside of the formal consultation process.
