ICIS is implementing a process of rolling consultation on all of its methodologies. This consultation paper is part of this formal process and covers all of the ICIS primary price points included in the ethanol weekly publications.
The consultation asks both general questions about the suitability of the ICIS methodology and questions addressing specific ethanol market issues.

Summary of responses
There was one formal response to consultation GMC 22/15, in which the respondent requested confidentiality.
The response requested that assessments should be moved in line with bids and offers in the absence of deals. Also that, in the absence of bids or offers, the assessments should be moved in correlation with other markets.
ICIS Decision
ICIS will not be proposing any immediate changes to the methodology of the ethanol report, since the above requests are already permitted under the current methodology. Any decision to change this methodology will be communicated to subscribers using the usual channels and with the usual notice period.
ICIS continues to welcome any feedback on its ethanol methodology outside of the formal consultation process.
