ICIS is implementing a process of rolling consultation on all of its methodologies. This consultation paper is part of this formal process and covers all of the ICIS primary price points included in the expandable polystyrene weekly publications.
The consultation asks both general questions about the suitability of the ICIS methodology and questions addressing specific expandable polystyrene market issues.

Summary of responses
There was one formal response to consultation GMC 25/15, in which the respondent requested confidentiality.
The response requested adding assessments to cover specific types and grades; a non-market adjustment on some assessments; and the removal of the UK GBP assessment. ICIS will survey the market to see whether these proposals have any support within the wider market.
ICIS Decision
ICIS will not be proposing any immediate changes to the methodology of the expandable polystyrene report. Any decision to change this methodology will be communicated to subscribers using the usual channels and with the usual notice period.
ICIS continues to welcome any feedback on its expandable polystyrene methodology outside of the formal consultation process.
