UK Shale Gas unlikely to crush NBP prices

The advent of shale gas production in the UK is unlikely to lower prices at the British NBP, analysts have said, although the extra supply could serve to cap hikes that otherwise would have come.

Expected large-scale investment in shale gas along with recent government incentives to encourage its development have led to speculation over the impact on UK gas prices.
