ICIS provides unrivalled market intelligence for the emerging toluene market.
Updated to Q1 2021
Due to new capacity in China, supply in northeast Asia will be increased. Meanwhile, supply from southeast Asia producers will be gradually recovering as they either have restarted their plants after turnarounds or will ramp up their operating rates, thus there will be more spot cargoes available.
Import demand from northeast Asia region will decrease, due to larger capacity in China. In southeast Asia demand may remain stable owing to stable supply and demand fundamentals; India import demand for Asian cargoes remains mixed. It will depend on whether supply from other regions including the Middle East and Europe will fully recover or not.
