Price & market indicators
The naphtha market closely tracks upstream crude oil prices. Market sentiment is influenced by arbitrage naphtha flows from northwest Europe to Asia and exports from the Middle East and India. The main driver of US naphtha supply is refinery use, which is sensitive to demand for gasoline, jet fuel and interruptions from hurricanes. US naphtha is mostly used to produce gasoline, but also has petrochemical and export outlets.
