European Gas Markets:
The Scramble to End Russian Reliance
13-Jun-2023 to 14-Jun-2023 | Start Time: 8:00AM London / 11:00AM UAE / 3:00PM Singapore
Record high LNG supply and lower gas demand helped Europe to pull through the recent winter with gas prices much lower now than for much of 2023. The market appears to have entered a new normal but major uncertainty persists over European gas pricing, supply and demand. What impact will this have on your organisation and what can you do to mitigate risks?
With the global gas and LNG markets set for significant tightness in the coming years, navigating what drives the TTF – for which ICIS is the benchmark provider – will enable you to better understand and interpret the risks and opportunities for your business. Alternatives to Russian gas supply, changes to Europe’s electricity markets and analysis of gas and LNG trade flows will all be included in the course.
Key topics include
- European energy policy following the war in Ukraine
- Gas pricing and liquidity in 2023
- Interpreting gas and LNG supply and demand data
- Short-term outlook: alternatives to Russian gas supply and the changing power mix
- Long-term outlook: the role of additional LNG import infrastructure and Europe’s changing position in the global market
- Access to ICIS expert presenters with dedicated time for questions and discussion
Who should attend?
The course will be beneficial to anyone whose job requires analysing market and trade situations. This could range from analysts and traders to decision-makers, including those with roles and functions in:
- Market analysis
