Latin American buyers of US PVC and Caustic Soda

The US is increasing its caustic soda and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) exports and Latin America is a target for US producers seeking to increase sales.

The low-cost production advantage from cheap natural gas in the US enables electricity costs to remain low by providing a low-cost feedstock from ethane, a prime cost factor in the production of co-products chlorine and caustic soda.
