SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Hyosung Corp, a South Korean polypropylene (PP) producer, will restart its propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit in Ulsan on 22 December, a company source said on Thursday.
The unit has a capacity of 170,000 tonnes/year and was shut on 25 November for a 26-day turnaround.
Propylene loss during the turnaround period was estimated at about 16,000 tonnes, according to a previous report. The company was currently purchasing domestic spot cargoes via pipeline to supply to its downstream PP units.
Hyosung operates two PP lines in Ulsan, with capacities of 130,000 tonnes/year and 150,000 tonnes/year respectively.
