SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Shaoxing Sanyuan Petrochemical is in the process of restarting its 450,000 tonne/year propane dehydrogenation (PDH) plant, which shut unexpectedly on 19 August following a power outage at the industrial park where the plant is located, a source close to the company said on Thursday.

The Zhejiang-based plant could take around four days to resume normal operations, the source said.

Its downstream polypropylene (PP) plants with a combined capacity of 520,000 tonnes/year were affected by the power outage and are likely to restart by 21 August, the source said.
