SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea's Hyosung Corp is running its restarted No 1 propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit in Ulsan at 85% of capacity, a source close to the company said on Thursday.
The 200,000 tonne/year unit, which resumed production on 8 February, will ramp up to full production in the next few days, the source said.
The plant was taken off line from mid-January to facilitate some improvement and maintenance works. The shutdown was meant to last about two weeks initially, but was subsequently extended to the second week of February, according to the source.
Hyosung's 300,000 tonne/year PDH unit at the same site is said to be running normally at present.
