China methylene chloride export prices stable-to-firmer

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s methylene chloride export prices were heard stable-to-firmer for the week ending 23 May, on the back of higher prices in the domestic market.

China mainly export the material to southeast Asia.

In the previous week, China’s export prices were assessed at $420-455/tonne FOB (free on board) China, according to ICIS data.

Meanwhile, offers for May-loading volumes from northeast Asian producers to southeast Asia were heard stable, while June-loading discussions are expected to commence next week.

Import volumes from China, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan were heard offered at $480-490/tonne CIF (cost, insurance and freight) SE (southeast) Asia; $500/tonne CIF SE Asia; $520/tonne CIF SE Asia; and $500/tonne CIF SE Asia, respectively.

SE Asia’s import prices for the material were assessed at $480-520/tonne CIF SE Asia in the week ended 16 May, ICIS data showed.
