LONDON (ICIS)–Click here to see the latest blog post on Asian Chemical Connections. No less than 49% of US polyethylene (PE) exports are vulnerable to any major shift in US trade policy. That 49% comprised exports to Canada, China and Mexico in 2016 out of the total of all US PE exports. What happens next? Nobody really has a clue about the final direction of US trade policy under this current White House administration. US PE companies must therefore prepare for the worst.
