Europe October prices for PE into the CIS countries up by €30-50/tonne

MOSCOW (MRC)–European polyethylene (PE) producers raised their export prices by €30-50/tonne for October shipments to the CIS countries, according to the ICIS-MRC Price report.
The October contract price of ethylene in Europe was agreed up €30/tonne from September.
Negotiations over export prices of European PE to the CIS markets began last week.
Many negotiators said most European producers raised their export PE prices more than the amount of the increase of monomer prices.
Only in some cases was there a price increase of €30/tonne –
in most the rise was €40/tonne or higher.
October deals for high density polyethylene (HDPE) were
discussed in the range €1,050-1,110/tonne FCA (free carrier),
whereas last month’s deals were in the range of
€1,020-1,070/tonne FCA.
Deals for black PE 100 were done in the range of €1,250-1,270/tonne FCA.
October deals for low density polyethylene (LDPE) were negotiated in the range of EUR1,130-1,220/tonne FCA, compared to last month’s deals at €1,090-1,180/tonne FCA.
Most producers increased prices for linear polyethylene by €50/tonne in comparison with the level of September, with deals discussed in the range of €1,360-1,420/tonne FCA.
