HOUSTON (ICIS)--US propylene inventories in the week ended 5 January fell for the second consecutive week, putting stockpiles at their lowest levels since early April, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Wednesday.
Propylene inventories fell by 3.0% week on week, alongside a drop in refinery operating rates.

The drawdown puts propylene inventories at their lowest levels since the week ending 7 April 2017, when stockpiles were at 2.382m bbl, according to EIA figures.
Year on year, propylene inventories are nearly 45% below 4.447m bbl in the week ended 6 January 2017.
