Total, Borealis, NOVA joint venture cracker in Texas already under construction
The 1m tonne/year ethane cracker as part of the joint venture (JV) between Total, Borealis and NOVA Chemicals in Port Arthur, Texas, US, is already under construction, the companies confirmed on Tuesday.

US February PP contracts settle lower, tracking propylene costs
February contracts for US polypropylene (PP) settled 6 cents/lb ($132/tonne) lower, tracking a similar decline in monomer costs for the month.

US February contracts for SBR move up on higher BD
US February contract prices for styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) were assessed 3.5 cents/lb ($77/tonne) higher on Wednesday.

US February oxo-alcohols prices move up on supply, feedstock pressure
US February oxo-alcohols free-market contract prices were assessed higher on Thursday  by 7-9 cents/lb ($154-198/tonne) on some supply constraints and pressure from January feedstock propylene.

Dow lifts force majeure on US MDI
Dow Chemical has lifted its force majeure on methyl di-p phenylene isocyanate (MDI) in the US, the company confirmed on Friday.
