LONDON (ICIS)--Most European acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) players are expecting a rollover for August contracts, although some deals already completed have settled at increases, according to sources on Friday.
A seller in southern Europe put up prices by €25/tonne.
Demand is steady and in line with expectations for this time of year.
Supply is also stable.
Many players are now away on summer holidays and this has effected overall demand.
Prices have been varied in August so far, as some sellers have been competing for market share.
As demand has slowed in the traditionally slow summer period, suppliers have been forced to offer discounts to allocate their volumes.
August contract negotiations continue.
