SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s diethylene glycol (DEG) imports in September fell by 2.5% month on month to 62,553 tonnes, official data showed.
September imports slipped due to a turnaround at a Taiwan-based 360,000 tonne/year monoethylene glycol (MEG) plant from 5 September to late October.
DEG is a by-product of MEG.
On a year-on-year basis, the country’s DEG imports increased by 13.9%, according to the same data.
