China October exports increase 15.6% on year, imports up 21.4%

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s overall exports in October increased by 15.6% year on year to $217.3bn, according to preliminary government data released on Thursday.

The country’s imports for the month were up 21.4% year on year to $183.3bn in October, marking a trade surplus to $34bn.

China’s year-to-date exports went to $2,044.8bn, up 12.6% year-on-year, while imports stood at $1,790.6 bn, up 20.3%.
