HOUSTON (ICIS)--Brazil sulphur prices fell this week by $15/tonne amid continued weak demand and global price falls during the country’s off-season.

The range is now $135-140/tonne CFR Brazil, down from $150-155/tonne CFR Brazil last week. This is the lowest level of prices since May.

Mosaic is understood to have bought a cargo in the US Gulf (USG) that will eventually move to Brazil. The intra-USG move was done at $117/tonne FOB US Gulf.

The majority of the Brazilian market is covered until January.
