OUTLOOK ’19 – VIDEO: Europe caustic soda contract price diverges from spot market

LONDON (ICIS)–Trends in the European caustic soda market in 2018 were complex, as both spot and contract prices re-aligned towards historical norms after spiking in 2017 and early in the year.
Towards the end of 2018 domestic availability began to contract, while conversely import availability remained very healthy and export prices continued to fall.
