HOUSTON (ICIS)--Joseph Bevilaqua, chief operating officer of Hexion, will leave the company to pursue other opportunities, the US-based thermoset resins producer said on Friday.
His departure will be effective on 5 April, Hexion said. In the meantime, he will continue as chief operating officer to ensure a smooth transition of his duties to the other members of the senior management of the company.
Bevilaqua's departure is part of a plan to reorganise Hexion into a leaner reporting structure, the company said. Other members of Hexion's senior management will assume Bevilaqua's duties after he leaves.
Bevilaqua has served as chief operating officer since October 2016, Hexion said.
Hexion makes epoxy resins, phenolic resins and urea-formaldehyde resins among other products.
