LONDON (ICIS)--High density polyethylene (HDPE) imports into Turkey fell year on year in December, according to the latest data from statistics agency Turkstat.
Exports climbed over the same period.
HDPE imports have seen significant decline in 2018, potentially caused by the introduction of a charge on plastic shopping bags.
The three top nations supplying imports to Turkey in December were Saudi Arabia (8,649 tonnes), Iran (6,188 tonnes) and Uzbekistan (5,968 tonnes).
