Celanese expands acetic acid capacity at Clear Lake, Texas facility
Celanese is expanding its acetic acid facility in Clear Lake, Texas, as it looks to reconfigure its global acetic acid production network through a number of value-creating steps, the global chemicals and specialty materials firm said on Monday.

US ExxonMobil to raise refining capacity at Beaumont by 65%
ExxonMobil plans build a new crude unit at its refinery in Beaumont, Texas, which will increase the refining capacity at the site by 65% or 250,000 bbl/day, the US-based company said on Tuesday.

US BD supply eases following tight year
US butadiene (BD) supply should continue to improve amid a wave of cracker startups slated for 2019. So far in early 2019, longer supply has kept prices relatively stable compared with the tightness of 2018.
