HOUSTON (ICIS)--Ingevity has completed its acquisition of the Capa caprolactone business of Perstorp Holding AB for €578.9m ($652.5m), the US-based specialty chemicals producer said on Wednesday.
Capa produces caprolactone and derivatives such as caprolactone polyols, caprolactone thermoplastics, caprolactone lactides and hexanediol (HDO). It has a plant in Warrington, England.
The deal was announced in December.
Ingevity will include the business in its Performance Chemicals segment and report revenues as “Engineered Polymers”.
Capa products are used in adhesives, bioplastics, coatings, elastomers and resins.
