LONDON (ICIS)--The European di propylene glycol (DPG) spot sentiment is stable, amid a well-supplied market moving toward a better balance.
DPG prices have stabilised after recent price softening as the market is not as long as it has been over recent weeks and demand is reasonable.
Prices continue to be quoted in the €2,100-2,250/tonne FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe) range.
The low-to-mid part of the range is seen to be reflective of industrial grade product and the upper end for flavours and fragrance quality material.
There is talk of some competitively priced material available for DPG in northwest Europe, possibly from Asia or from southern Europe, but this is not seen to be having any real impact in the wider NWE market.
In related news, European mono propylene glycol industrial grade (MPGI) spot prices are also holding steady amid a well-covered market.
