SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s April domestic contract prices for 1,4-butanediol (BDO) were flat from March for the second straight month, ICIS data showed.
Two local producers kept their April prices unchanged at around New Taiwan dollars (NT$) 47-50/kg DEL (delivered).
In US dollar terms in early April, contract prices were $1/tonne higher at $1,526-1,623/tonne DEL Taiwan due to fluctuations in the exchange rate.
The two Taiwanese producers had tried to push for a price hike but settled for a roll over eventually on resistance from buyers.
