China methanol futures fall 2.06% as most commodities decline

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s methanol futures dropped by 2.06% on Tuesday, tracking the decline in most commodities markets.

The September 2019 methanol futures, the most actively traded contract at the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE), closed at Chinese yuan (CNY) 2,471/tonne ($368/tonne), down by CNY52/tonne compared with the settlement on 15 April.

Around 7.7m tonnes of methanol for delivery in September 2019 were traded on Tuesday, according to ZCE data.
