Feiplastic ’19: LyondellBasell Advanced Polymer Solutions makes trade show debut

SAO PAULO (ICIS)–LyondellBasell’s Advanced Polymer Solutions business made its first appearance at Feiplastic, the largest plastic trade show in Latin America.

The business was created after LyondellBasell acquired A Schulman.

Once LyondellBasell completed the acquisition, it combined its polypropylene (PP) compounding business with A Schulman’s engineered composites and its legacy business, which includes masterbatches, engineering polymers and specialty powders.

LyondellBasell’s polyolefins and chemical businesses were not represented at the trade show.

The new business has been able to introduce new projects and products at Feiplastic, said Gustavo Perez, regional director LATAM, Advanced Polymer Solutions, LyondellBasell.

He made his comments on the sidelines of Feiplastic. These include new grades of additives for biaxially oriented PP (BOPP).

“We are introducing the unified and enhanced product portfolio of LyondellBasell and A Schulman,” he said.

The Feira Internacional do Plastic (Feiplastic) takes place on 22-26 April in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
