June
China will raise tariffs on $60bn-worth of US
imports from 1 June as countermeasure against
the recent US duties hike on Chinese goods, the
Ministry of Finance said on Monday.
US chem stocks
close lower as Dow Jones falls

The shares of US-listed chemical companies
followed by ICIS closed sharply lower on Monday
as the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by
more than 2.3%.
US releases
$300bn list of new tariff targets against
China
The US released on Monday a list of new tariffs
of up to 25% that it could impose on $300bn
worth of Chinese goods.
US agrees to
remove tariffs on Canadian steel,
aluminium
The US has agreed to remove tariffs on imports
of Canadian aluminium and steel, the two
governments said on Friday.
