Russia’s Bashkir Soda shuts PVC production

MOSCOW (MRC)–Bashkir Soda Company has shut down its polyvinyl chloride (PVC) production for a two-week scheduled turnaround, according to an MRC’s Price report.
A source at the company said PVC production had been taken offline on 15 July.
The plant’s production capacity stands at 240,000 tonnes/year.
Another Russian PVC producer, SayanskKhimPlast, also shut its production for a 30-day turnaround last week.
SayanskKhimPlast’s PVC capacity stands at 350,000 tonnes/year.
