Russia’s PVC production up 0.3% in January-July

MOSCOW (MRC)–Russia’s production of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) totaled 553,700 tonnes in the first seven months of 2019, up by 0.3% year on year, according to MRC’s ScanPlast report.

RusVinyl, a joint venture between SIBUR and SolVin, produced 196,200 tonnes of PVC in January-July 2019, up by 7% year on year.

Sayanskkhimplast produced 166,300 tonnes in January-July, compared to 162,800 tonnes a year earlier, while Bashkir Soda Company’s PVC production reached 148,000 tonnes, slightly down year on year.

Kaustik 43,200 tonnes, down sharply from 54,500 tonnes a year earlier.
