Russia’s PVC output up 1% in January-August

MOSCOW (MRC)--Russia’s production of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) totalled 631,100 tonnes in the first eight months of 2019, up by 1% year on year,

RusVinyl, a joint venture between SIBUR and SolVin, produced 226,400 tonnes in January-August 2019, up by 6% year on year as the company’s facilities did not shut down for maintenance during the period.

SayanskKhimPlast 184,900 tonnes during the period, compared to 173,100 tonnes a year earlier, while .

Bashkir Soda Company produced 169,100 tonnes in the first eight months of this year, compared to 173,500 tonnes in the same period in 2018.

Kaustik, based in Volgograd, 50,700 tonnes during the period, compared with 62,300 tonnes a year earlier.
